About the program

Reducing climate risk in East Austin

The Austin Community Climate Program (ACCP) combats climate change and strengthens climate resilience by connecting people, climate and community through restoration, education and innovation.

It supports local nonprofits and organisations implementing projects that restore native ecosystems and strengthen the ecological health of East Austin’s parks, trails and green spaces; build climate literacy and community engagement; and advance research, data and innovative approaches that reduce climate risk.

2% for 2 Degrees

The ACCP is powered by the 2% for 2 Degrees pledge — a commitment to channel 2% of room and restaurant revenue from The Loren Hotel Austin into climate action.

It is the Austin chapter of a partnership that has already funded reforestation and community climate work in Bermuda.
